People of PROtect: Jody Crow

Meet Jody, our Senior Technical Services Consultant. She is the mastermind behind our Standard Operating Procedures and is known as the “SOP Lady” in the office!

What is your background in your field?

Before I got into documents and procedures, I was a civil engineer. I got into research and publishing technical documents in that time. I also did regular speaking engagements and trainings throughout the country.

For seven years, I have been writing and editing documents, specifically procedures, for Ethanol plants and other industrial facilities.

 

What do you think is the most important part of what PROtect does?

We fill the gaps for our customers in their safety and operating areas. Making sure they are successful all the way around. We also take the burden off of managing all of these risks in house.

 

What is the most important part of what you do?

I bring out the best practices within a company to ensure that safety and efficiency work together.

 

Why do you think people choose to work with PROtect?

Because of our people. We really care about their people.

 

What do you do you enjoy doing when you are not at work?

I hang out with my family – they are my best friends! I also do homeless ministry and lead bible studies.

 

What did you want to be growing up?

An engineer! I just found a paper that I wrote when I was 11 about being an electrical engineer.

 

Who is your favorite sports team?

St. Louis Cardinals

 

Is there anything else you want people to know about what you do? 

The main thing I want to help people with is to equip them with the tools to excel. I have a quote in my office that says, “We don’t rise to the level of our goals – we fall to the level of our systems.” I want to make sure that people’s systems are rising to their goals.
