Situation

An oil company reached out to PROtect to see what inspection we could perform to verify internal pitting.

They wanted a solution that would not require them to drain their lines, halt their production process, etc. For this company, anything with over 50% wall loss meant they needed to cut out and replace.

We performed inspections using the Automated Ultrasonic (AUT) scanner. We found their original inspection to be off by 38%. This saved the company from cutting out and replacing this particular asset prematurely by an estimated 15 years.
